This twenty-seven acre park in Watts honours the memory of local labor leader Ted Watkins, who was instrumental in leading the recovery effort following the Watts Riots and founded the Watts Labor Community Action Comittee (WCALC).

KSA  Inc. was the landscape architect and lead consultant for the 5 million General Improvements project for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, which wasrehabilitated the park's playing fields, basketball and tennis courts renovated restrooms, upgraded paths, parking and ADA accesibility and added a new soccer field and jogging trail to this popular community park.
